This chicken quesadilla recipe is not just great for meals and snacks, but children will love them especially, too!
I know this because this easy chicken recipe has cheese in it!
And if there's one thing I know - children love cheese!
But let's not forget the tortillas!
Who doesn’t love tortillas?
There such a popular part of quick and easy chicken recipes.
Tortillas absorb butter really well, so when you’re cooking them, make sure there is always enough butter underneath in the pan so that they won't burn at the end!
OK are you ready?
Let's make this chicken quesadilla recipe!
400g cooked chicken
150 g of cheese of your choice! :)
2 tablespoons of butter (at least!)
2 tablespoons green onions (chopped)
1 medium chopped, tomato
12 black olives (sliced)
Salt and pepper to taste
4 tablespoons of sour cream
4 tablespoons of salsa sauce
1 tablespoon of finely chopped parsley
Cut the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces.
In a pan, melt a tablespoon of butter over medium high heat. Make sure the butter gets spread all around the pan.
Place a tortilla in the pan and spread cheese on one half of tortilla.
Next add the cut up chicken along the top of the cheese and tortilla.
Add the other ingredients: onions, tomatoes, and sliced black olives.
Fold over the tortilla half without the toppings and press down a bit with a spatula.
Cook on one side until it turns a golden brown.
Lift up a corner of the quesadilla and slip some more butter underneath.
Now turn it over the quesadilla with your spatula.
Cook this side until golden brown and remove from the pan to a plate.
To serve our chicken quesadilla recipe we'll use the rest of our ingredients.
First, cut the tortilla rolls with a knife into medium pieces. Garnish at the side with some parsley.
Place some of sour cream and salsa sauce each into their own separate bowls.
Then simply place or dip the pieces into whatever side serving suits your fancy!
