Am I joking?!!

Chicken Bolognese Sauce Recipe!!

The inspiration for this recipe came from my memories of Belgium. When I was living there, I often had spaghetti bolognese.

So!...

Since I now have this easy chicken recipe site, I've decided to share my own version of bolognese sauce recipe - with chicken of course!

I am sure you and your companion will love it too! My Chef does!

This is a wonderful, very easy chicken spaghetti recipe. It needs no special talent or knowledge.

When you have no idea what to make, this recipe is perfect! If you have the main ingredients: spaghetti pasta, ground chicken and tomato sauce, you will be surprised how easy it is to create a masterpiece for two!

Success guaranteed!

Ingredients (Serves 2 - 4 bolognese’):

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion
2-3 garlic cloves
4 mushrooms
1 medium sized carrot
500 g of ground chicken
1 cup of chicken stock broth
2-3 tablespoons of white wine
1 medium can of tomato sauce
2 tablespoons fresh basil (or 1 teaspoon dried basil)
2 bay leaves
450 g of spaghetti pasta
3-4 tablespoons of shredded cheese
salt and pepper to taste
parsley finely chopped

Directions:

Wash onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Peel and wash the carrot. Finely chop all the ingredients.

In a large skillet, first warm the olive oil over a medium heat. Then add the onions, carrot and mushrooms.

After about 3 minutes, add the garlic. Sauté until all the vegetables are soft. It should take about 5 minutes.

Now add the ground chicken and continue to sauté for 10-15 minutes.

This is heart of my chicken bolognese sauce recipe!

Next add the chicken stock, wine, tomato sauce, bay leaves and basil. If you like can also add a little bit salt and pepper just to taste.

Make sure to stir everything well and thoroughly to avoid burning and sticking anything!

Simmer uncovered over low heat. Stir occasionally until the sauce gets thick. This takes about 10-15 minutes. Then remove from heat.

If your sauce is too thick, you can always add a little more chicken stock or even some water. (I prefer chicken stock as it gives the meal a richer flavor).

In a meantime, cook the spaghetti pasta for around 6-8 minutes in 6 cups of boiling water with one teaspoon of salt added.

  • Remember my tip about adding just a drop of oil in the water to keep the spaghetti from sticking together!

Serving Ideas:

Place the cooked pasta in the middle of the plate.

Add the chicken bolognese sauce on the top.

Then sprinkle the shredded cheese on top, and finally, some parsley over that!

Start of with a nice little green garden salad. Have a little vino on the side!

Avere un pasto delizioso!
