On a diet or not, this oven baked chicken recipe is simplicity defined. It’s very easy to do. It has lovely simply blend of spices. And it’s a lot of healthier than the fried version.





Like I said, diet or not, everyone can enjoy this. That’s because it's so absolutely delicious, and very light in your stomach.

I find oven recipes to be a real time saver, because I can relax, or get other chores down, or prepare surprising little side dishes. Sometimes I’ll call my Chef and say: “Have you set up my new recipe for the web site?”

"J'espère que vous avez ou il est le dîner pour vous ce soir!" ;)

I'm joking!

Ingredients (Serves 4 ovens!):

4 chicken fillets
1 egg white
½ cup of butter milk
2-3 tablespoons of flour
3-4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons of paprika
½ teaspoon of cayenne
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Salt, pepper to taste

Cooking Utensils You'll Need:

baking sheet
three large plates
whisk
saute pan
cooking flipper
tongs

Directions for My Oven Baked Chicken Recipe:


Preheat oven to 250°C/480°F.

Oil a baking sheet with some of the vegetable oil. Set aside.

Wash the chicken fillets thoroughly. Dry with paper towels.Place them on a plate.

Next, combine the egg white and butter milk on another plate. Whisk the two ingredients together until they’re well blended.

On yet another third dish, combine the flour, bread crumbs, paprika, and cayenne. Add just a tiny bit of salt and pepper to taste..

Then dip one of the chicken fillets into buttermilk mixture. Turn the fillet to coat it evenly. Shake off any excess liquid.

Take the coated chicken fillet and dip it in the flour and breadcrumb mixture. Make sure to shake off any excess or ‘loose’ coating.

Put 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a saute pan. Place pan over medium heat. Lightly saute the fillets one minute each side. When these are baked later they'll be nicely crunchy and juicy inside!

Place the fillet on the oiled baking sheet.

Repeat the above directions with remaining fillets, one piece at a time.

Lightly brush the breaded chicken fillets with the remaining vegetable oil. Bake on the top rack of preheated oven until the coating is crispy and golden. This should take about 12 to 15 minutes. Keep an eye on things because the chicken can dry it very quickly.

Because I suggested that this oven baked chicken recipe is great people on a diet, it seems appropriate to serve this with a nice green garden salad and a hearty choice of veggies!!
