Here’s a marinated chicken thigh recipe with oranges that’s absolutely...romantic???

How can that be? (Hint: it has nothing to do with thighs!!)

This is why: It’s unbelievably easy.

And....it takes only about half an hour.




Also....because it’s for two, that simply means you have more free time together ;)

All right let’s get cooking......the food, please!

Ingredients (Serves 2 thighs!):

2 chicken thighs
2 oranges
200 g fresh peas
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

For The Marinade:

1 clove garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon honey
juice of 1 orange
1 teaspoon of orange flower water
salt, pepper to taste

Directions:

Preheat oven to 200°C/390°F.

Peel and wash the garlic. Then crush the garlic by pressing down on it with the blade of your knife.

Prepare the marinade by mixing together all the ingredients in a shallow dish. If you don’t have any orange flower water, you can use ordinary water.

Spread the marinade well over the chicken thighs. Next place the marinated thighs on a plate cover with plastic. Put them in your refrigerator to cool, while you prepare the oranges and snow peas.

Peel the oranges and cut into segments.

Cook the peas for 5 minutes in boiling salted water. After the five minutes are up, drain them and then immediately immerse them in cold water to keep their green color, then drain.

Arrange chicken thighs in a baking dish. Next, pour the marinade over the thighs. Place in oven and bake for 20 minutes, basting occasionally.

After the 20 minutes, add the orange segments and peas to the chicken thighs. Finally bake for another 10 minutes.

Serve these chicken thighs with white rice and green salad.
